At Alexander Clementine, the journey from seaweed to fabric begins in the pristine fjords of Iceland. Here, seaweed is sustainably harvested by hand, ensuring minimal environmental impact and preserving the marine ecosystem. In fact, the seaweed is harvested every four years above the regenerative point. Once collected, the seaweed undergoes a gentle drying process to lock in its beneficial nutrients.
Next, the dried seaweed is carefully embedded into cellulose fibres, creating a unique yarn that retains the seaweed's natural properties. This yarn is then woven into the soft, breathable fabric used in our underwear, delivering comfort and wellness directly to your skin.
