what touches your skin matters
Designed to work with your body, not against it
Oestrogen plays an important role in maintaining skin hydration and barrier function. During menopause, as levels decline, skin can become drier, thinner and more sensitive.
Most underwear is made from synthetic fibres, also known as plastic. Worn close to the skin, these fibres can trap heat, hold onto moisture, irritate sensitive skin and cause hormone disruption.
Thankfully, not all underwear is created equal. Alexander Clementine is different.
Designed for changing bodies
Our underwear is made from Icelandic seaweed (Seacell™) and eucalyptus (TENCEL™) fibres. Together they create an exceptionally soft, breathable fabric designed to support changing bodies with everyday comfort.
As our bodies change, so do our needs. Common symptoms of menopause, that tend to affect the areas where underwear sit include hot flushes, night sweats, heightened sensitivity, dry and itchy skin, vulval discomfort, sleeping discomfort and vaginal odour.
Our fabric is naturally temperature regulating, moisture wicking, anti bacterial, anti odour and hypoallergenic. The seaweed fibre is also rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals to soothe and comfort sensitive skin during these times.
"The material has made a significant difference to my comfort during the day. There is no irritation and they are so soft against the skin."
